According to Lyn Bloackmon of the Texarkana Gazette, Ed Jones of Texarkana will play on the Amtrak Texas Eagle/California Service Train on its inaugural run from Chicago through San Antonio to Los Angeles. Ed Jones will be on the train for four or five days doing solos on the sax and the organ.
Ed Jones has played with Count Basie and Duke Ellington. He has played at Special Events "on the boulevard," Northridge and Texarkana country clubs and many private parties since he has come back to Texarkana. Jones owns a business in Texarkana called Star Productions, which serves as a booking agency for live entertainment. He still plays at Mardi Gras and at Taylor's Restaurant and Lounge as well as what's called the Los Vegas Strip and better clubs at the outskirts of New Orleans.
