The Fullerton Depot is one of the busiest passenger train stations on the west coast. All passenger trains that serve the Fullerton Depot are arranged in the above list ordered by the times that each train is scheduled to leave the station. There are also many freight trains through the station all day and all night.

Note: At this time, the three Full-Length Dome Cars on the San Diegans are not assigned to any particular trains and can show up as equipment on any train at any time. The same can be said for the two California Car trainsets on the San Diegans. Although they're likely to be assigned to trains 769 and 782/792 as well as trains 568, 577, 580/590, and 589/599 on most days, there's no guarantee you'll get the California Cars by riding those trains!

Trains stop at more stations than those listed above. The only stations listed are ones that are end-points for some runs and Fullerton. "..." as a place holder means the train route ends at the last listed station to the right or left of the place holders.

If you are standing on the platform closest to the Fullerton Santa Fe Depot building and facing the tracks, "-->" and "<--" indicate which direction the train will enter and leave the station. Although the orientation of the station is really east/west and all trains through the station have a strong east/west component in their direction of travel, trains heading for San Diego are considered "southbound" and those heading for Los Angeles are considered "northbound". The only trains considered to be "eastbound" or "westbound" are the trains heading from or to Riverside and San Bernardino.

Generally, all Northbound, Eastbound and Westbound trains arrive on the track closest to the station. All Southbound trains arrive on the track furthest from the station which can be reached by crossing over the pedestrian bridge. Elevators and stairs are available at each end of the pedestrian bridge. There is a center track going through the Fullerton Station which is only used by freight trains. Passenger trains never use the middle track.

WARNING: Freight traffic is heavy in Fullerton, and freight trains can go through the Fullerton Station on any track in any direction at any time without warning! Stay well away from the edge of the platform until the train you are boarding comes to a complete stop.
