The Columbia River (UP8009) private railcar will be making its last round trip excursion between Los Angeles and San Diego on Saturday, February 27, 1999. The car is being sold to Rail Cruise America of St. Louis where it will operate in their special train consist. (See: www.trainweb.com/railcruise) You are invited to participate in this final excursion, but please make your reservations early as seating is limited to 36 passengers.

The railcar will depart southbound from Los Angeles on Amtrak San Diegan Train #568 at 7:20 AM arriving in San Diego at 10:05 AM. The railcar will depart from San Diego on Amtrak San Diegan Train #599 at 8:50 PM and arrive back into Los Angeles at 11:35 PM. This will give you about 10 hours to spend in San Diego. The cost is $150.00 per person and includes breakfast southbound and a full dinner northbound.
