Amtrak Coast Starlight
Steve's Review - Train #11 & Train #14
http://www.trainweb.com/routes/route_11/sg_11.htm

Steve's review of the Amtrak Coast Starlight including travelogues and photos of the train, the accommodations and scenery along the route.

Intro To Travelogues / Intro To Photos

I would suggest that you start by reading my travelogue of the rail journey on April 30, 1998. If you only plan to read one of the travelogues below, that is the one that you should read. The Amtrak Coast Starlight has the highest and most consistent quality of service of all of the Amtrak routes that I have traveled. Although it can fluctuate, the overall level of service has risen over time. The Amtrak Coast Starlight has definitely earned its self-described term of "Superior Service!" You may find criticism of some aspects of the Coast Starlight in some of my earlier travelogues and I do not want to leave you with the impression of that being the way things usually are on the Coast Starlight. So, please do read the April 30, 1998 travelogue to get a more representative view of The Coast Starlight experience!
