While starting to drive home the railroad crossing gates dropped as the Metrolink train that we had just been on started to
go through the crossing. Yes, that is a BNSF locomotive in the lead of the Metrolink train. It is a long story not covered
here, but Metrolink is temporarily using a BNSF locomotive in front of all "Cab Cars". After a recent Metrolink train
accident there is a question about the safety of the new Cab Cars. Until this issue is resolved, Metrolink is placing a BNSF
locomotive in front of all their new Cab Cars. This is the locomotive that pulled our train on the northbound segment of
our journey. At the other end of the train was a regular Metrolink locomotive which pulled our train for the southbound
segment of our journey.
