Get More Web Visitors
www.trainweb.com/morehits.html
If you have a web site hosted free at TrainWeb, then you can get more
visitors to your web site by placing this HTML code near the bottom of
your main web page and qualifying for a free dynamic clickable banner ad
throughout the TrainWeb community! Each banner ad appears over 5,000
times per month (over 200 times per day)!
You can just use the Copy and Paste functions of your computer to copy the
above HTML code and paste it onto the main page of your web site. The
above HTML code will display the following on your web page:
When someone clicks on any link anywhere in the TrainWeb community of
websites to get to your website, the top two banners will be different
on each visit.
demonstration of the banners at the top of this page changing with
each visit.
Click again and
again if you want to
see the banners at the top of this page continue to change with every
visit.
The left ad is usually from a TrainWeb sponsor (whose financial support
makes our offer of free web space to you possible), and the right ad is
usually from another free web site hosted at TrainWeb or an ad for another
area within the TrainWeb site.
Once you have placed the above code on your main web page, you then qualify
for a free clickable banner ad to direct visitors to your own web site at
TrainWeb! These clickable banners ads appear on almost every TrainWeb page
and on the main page of many other web sites hosted at TrainWeb.
Since thousands of pages are visited at TrainWeb each day, these clickable
banners will drive MANY new visitors to your own web site! The latest
analysis shows that your banner will be seen over 5,000 times each
month (over 200 times per day)! Banners are 200 x 40 pixels and limited
to 3000 bytes to provide fast loading.
If you do not know how to create a banner for your web site, then set your
web browser to:
www.crecon.com/banners.html.
You can create and download a banner right from that web site! Just be sure
to set the banner size to 200 x 40 pixels and keep it simple. If you make
your banner too fancy, it will exceed our 3000 byte size limit. We restrict
the banner size to 3000 bytes so that the speed at which pages load from
the TrainWeb server are not slowed by the size of the banners.
For those organizations that were given free web accounts at TrainWeb
prior to April 20, 1998, placing the above HTML code on your main web page
is currently optional. However, doing so will allow you to have your own
banner displayed throughout TrainWeb. That has already been proven to
drive many more visitors to participating web sites. Thus, it is to your
own advantage to participate in this program.
Free web accounts granted on or after April 20, 1998 are required to
include the above HTML code near the bottom of their main web page.
However, those web sites will also have a clickable banner ad displayed
throughout the TrainWeb community!
If you wish to place the HTML code somewhere on your main page other than
near the bottom of the page, that is fine, but it must appear somewhere on
the main page of your web site. Also, if you wish to place the HTML code
on additional pages of your web site, that is greatly appreciated and will
further benefit everyone in the TrainWeb community!
Commercial and all other paying sponsors are not required to insert the
above HTML code on their main page, but we certainly appreciate those
that do!
Special Note:
When someone goes direct to your URL or links to your website from
outside the TrainWeb community, the two banners in the above example
("Place Your Banner Here" and "Click Here To View TrainWeb's Sponsors")
are the exact banners that the visitor will see. Our code can only
insert different banners when the visitor links from one TrainWeb hosted
web page to another TrainWeb hosted web page.
The HTML code listed above must be copied exactly as it appears or
it is very likely that the banners will not change on each visit. Thus,
please do not alter anything between "<-- BEGIN TRAINWEB CODE -->" and
"<-- END TRAINWEB CODE -->". It is best to copy and paste the code
exactly as it appears above. The banners might also not change on some
websites that use frames on their main web page. It just depends on
exactly how the main page frames are constructed and implemented.
You are allowed to design your website any way that you like. Just be
aware that the banners might not change on your particular website if
you are using frames, or if you did not cut and paste the TrainWeb Code
exactly as it appears above.
