Ray Burns and Steve Grande each wrote their own travelogue of this journey.
Please select each of the below links to read each of the travelogues.
The photos taken by both Ray Burns and Steve Grande have been combined into a single series and can be viewed
by either clicking on the links below or the links in either of the travelogues. The photos are the same in
all three locations.
I apologize for the long delay in getting this travelogue posted. As soon as we returned from our trip, we had
to get ready for Fullerton Railroad Days. After the end of Fullerton Railroad Days, we had a lot of work to take
care of that had piled up from attending the Amtrak Historical Society and the Fullerton Railroad Days. Thus,
this travelogue did not get posted until Thursday, May 24, 2001.

Are you interested in rail travel along some or all of this journey yourself?
There are very few travel agents that have the necessary knowledge and experience of rail travel to answer your questions
and to book a journey that you will remember for a lifetime. TrainWeb has sought out those travel agencies and rail
tourism companies that not only have the knowledge to book your travel, but have gained the required experience through
extensive rail travel themselves!
