Personal Fascination

I am personally fascinated with rail travel. I have never traveled by Amtrak prior to 1995, but I have learned a lot about rail travel in the short time that I have been exploring the Amtrak routes.

My goal here is to tell you about places you can go just by starting out at the Amtrak Station at the Fullerton Santa Fe Depot. You can visit many vacation spots between San Diego and San Luis Obispo just by taking a direct train from Fullerton. These are great get-aways for a day trip, a weekend, or even an extended vacation. For train trips that span the nation, you can pick up a cross country train heading east right out of Fullerton Station or change to other trains in Union Station in Los Angeles.
