Only on the train can you climb the heights of mountains, soar through narrow cut rock, burst out onto spidery trestles miles above rushing streams or rolling plains. Only on the train can you race across shifting sand dunes, sail through windswept prairies, weave through fertile valleys and skim sparkling shores. Every Amtrak route has its own special magic, many revealing sights visible from nowhere else but the train.

No matter what kind of vacation appeals to you, you can find it on Amtrak. Cool mountain hideaways. Hot sunny beaches. Cozy rural retreats. Big city excitement.

You will discover people, places and things that are uniquely American. Like Grand Canyon, one of the natural wonders of the world. New York, with its towering skyscrapers and glittering theaters. Los Angeles, home to bit Hollywood movie studios and stars. And Florida Walt Disney World®, considered by many to be the finest amusement resort in the world. It is all there, just past the next station, waiting for your arrival at over 500 destinations across the United States.

Amtrak USA Rail® Pass makes arranging your entire holiday easy.

You can customize your vacation with as many stopovers as you would like in any of our regions, and have 15 or 30 days to explore. You will find information on all these options detailed in this guide.

With over 500 destinations to visit, and so many things to see, the possibilities for an exciting (and relaxing) U.S.A. holiday are virtually endless. Or simply stretch out, relax and let the gentle rhythms of the train lull you to sleep as you lean back into your wide, reclining seat.

When it is time to eat, once again you have a choice. Head to the Dining Car for a sit-down meal including delicious entrees prepared by professional chefs. Or opt for a sandwich, snack or drink in one of the Cafes or Lounges. You will find the prices are reasonable and the service, superb.

If you stay with us overnight, you will find it quite relaxing in one of our many First Class accommodations. There, an attendant will turn down your bed, and offer you a bedtime sweet or a nightcap.
