About First Class
www.trainweb.com/travel/general/gdfirst.htm

There are four different types of accommodations in the Superliner® Sleeping Car. For those passengers traveling in Deluxe Bedrooms, your vanity, toilet and private shower are located in your room. Certain Deluxe Bedrooms can be combined to form a Deluxe Suite. For those traveling in Economy Bedrooms or in the Family Room, you will find one restroom located at the top of the stairs and a number of restrooms and private dressing rooms downstairs. There is a dressing room with large shower near the vestibule on the lower level. The Special Bedroom is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible sink, vanity, and toilet which may be partitioned by drawing the privacy curtain across the room.

In your "Welcome Aboard" literature you will find a list which describes the soaps, shampoo, lotion, and other assorted personal care products we carry. These are available on request. Your attendant will also provide you with a fresh supply of washcloths and towels as needed.

Complimentary soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, and juice are readily available in your car throughout the trip.

During your journey, morning papers are boarded each day. Your attendant also carries a complement of current magazines and chess and checker pieces for your enjoyment while you are traveling with us. Game boards are found on the tabletops in every room.

Your attendant will arrange with you an appropriate time to turn down your beds and prepare the room for the night. In the morning, the room will likely be made up while you are at breakfast.

Your attendant is available to bring you snacks and refreshments during Lounge Car service hours. If you desire full meal service in your room, we recommend making arrangements in advance. This service is subject to delay when the Dining Car is busy.

Please remember that you are entitled to make use of our exclusive Metropolitan Lounge in Chicago. There, you will enjoy a private waiting area with a staffed reception desk, complimentary beverage center, television, telephone, baggage check, and other amenities. Remember to take advantage of this privilege prior to your next First Class trip through Chicago. (Steve's note: Metropolitan Lounges are also available for First Class passengers in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Portland, New Orleans, and Miami.)
