The following is a list of Amtrak rail passenger travel that I plan to do in the near future. My goal is to cover all of the Amtrak routes over the period between August 1995 and December of 1999. I have already traveled on almost every Amtrak route and have just a few small segments to complete.
If you send e-mail to me at steve@trainweb.com, I will usually get a response back to you within a day. However, due to circumstances, I am sometimes away from my computer for a few days or am otherwise occupied such that I cannot provide you with a prompt reply.
I have posted some items above so that you will know when and why you might not receive a prompt reply from me. However, I always read every e-mail that I receive and do return a personal e-mail reply. If you do not receive a reply from me within a few days of sending me e-mail, then your e-mail never got to me or my reply failed to reach you. Please don't hesitate to resend your e-mail to me and make sure that you have given me a valid e-mail address where I may send my reply.
The types of e-mail I receive are usually people asking for recommendations on how to explore the nation via Amtrak, or the best way to get to particular destinations. I have quite a bit of Amtrak resources available to me and am always happy to help out where I can. This is especially true of travelers from foreign nations that don't seem to have the ability to call 1-800-USA-RAIL at all. But I'm quite happy to help out both Americans and foreigners alike in planning their Amtrak itineraries.
I also receive travelogues from people that have taken trips on Amtrak and I am always happy to post those so that others may benefit from those experiences.
If you send e-mail to me, you will always get a reply, even if I'm not able to provide the particular information you are seeking. However, there are times that my reply will be delayed due to the travel and reasons listed above.
