This is a photo from the parking lot at the San Juan Capistrano Amtrak Station. Both Metrolink and Amtrak San Diegan trains serve this station. There is some talk of the San Diego Coaster trains eventually coming this far north. The train in the station is composed of both Amfleet cars and the new Amtrak California Locomotive. The entrance to the station is toward the left in the photo.
The photos in this slide show were taken in the mid-1990's by Steve Grande on his Amtrak travels throughout the nation. The size of the photos is purposely smaller as disk space was expensive and download speeds were slower at that time.
