In the foreground you can see the mechanism for refinishing the wheels again including the shiney surface of one wheel. To the left is a passenger car and to the right what looks like a baggage or mail car. These cars are all inside the car shop building.
The photos in this slide show were taken in the mid-1990's by Steve Grande on his Amtrak travels throughout the nation. The size of the photos is purposely smaller as disk space was expensive and download speeds were slower at that time.
