Railroad Radio Frequencies
Used On The Amtrak Ethan Allen Express Route
www.trainweb.com/radio/route_ea.html

This page provides information about radio communication channels and frequencies used by Amtrak on the Ethan Allen Express.

  • Ch 12 160.290 Rutland, VT to Whitehall (just north of Ft. Edwards)
  • Ch 66 161.100 Whitehall to Schenectady, NY
  • Ch 46 160.800 Schenectady, NY on south

Consult radio lists for other Albany,NY to New York City,NY trains for additional frequencies south of Albany,NY

If you keep scanning Channel 66 (161.100) once you arrive in Schenectady, NY, you might find that you get horrible noises on your radio. There is something in Schenectady that places very loud bursts at regular intervals onto this frequency making it very annoying to attempt to continue to listen to it. Plus, it halts your scanner continually if you include 161.100 in a range or set of frequencies to scan.
