Amtrak's Seattle, Portland, Edmonds and Bellingham, WA stations will host Holiday Open House events on Saturday, December 12. The public is invited to attend and exchange a new, unused, unwrapped toy for a free companion fare coupon, good for travel aboard the brand new Amtrak Cascades between January 4 and April 1, 1999. All toys collected will be donated to local Toys For Tots programs, sponsored by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Other activities include pictures with Santa and refreshments.
