Glory Train was established in 1993 as a subsidiary of A. Enterprises, which was founded in 1988. Glory Train was established as a model train repair company by Robert Akins Jr. When business growth slowed down, Robert turned his attention to computer graphics in 1992. Since his hobby was model railroading he decided to focus on locomotive illustrations. His first computer hand drawn art, the ABB X2000 Amtrak demo, turned out so well that his parents and others saw his God given talent for creating locomotive art. So in 1994 Glory Train became Glory Train Computer Art.

Over the past 4 years Mr. Akins has developed a portfolio of locomotive compositions. Each hand drawn computer illustration takes 2 to 4 weeks to produce. There are 9 locomotive works in the collection to date. More are on the way, so bookmark this site and come back often.
